# Read how the current organization came to be

> The sign-up behind the caller's organization, as far as the partner needs it: whether it came through the website or a partner invite, the company website as a host, and whether the partner builds their own storefront once they have signed; otherwise the team builds it. A partner who signed up from the website builds their own; one who came through an invite follows the invite's setting. Null for an organization the team created directly.
